กรณีเป็นนามนับไม่ได้ หมายถึง ผ้าที่เป็นชิ้น ๆ ยังไม่ผ่านการตัดเย็บใด

Ex. a piece of cotton cloth
Ex. a piece of pepe cloth

** สังเกตว่าการเรียกผ้า 1 ชิ้นจะใช้ A piece of cloth

กรณีเป็นนามนับได้ หมายถึง ผ้าขี้ริ้ว หรือผ้าสำหรับทำความสะอาด
