Noun clause คือ กลุ่มคำที่ประกอบไปด้วยประธานและกริยา มักจะนำหน้าด้วยคำเหล่านี้ ได้แก่ who, what, where, when, why, how, which, whom, whose, whoever, whatever, wherever, whichever, that, if, whether

ประธานของประโยค

What you do is great.
Where she lives is quite far from here.
How he cook is amazing.
How long will it take is still unknown.
Whoever ate my cake will be punished.
That Sam won the lottery is true.
Whether you will join us does not matter.

กรรมของกริยา

I think that you may be right.
I want to know what love is.
I know where she lives.
I will punish whoever ate my cake.
I don’t care who won the lottery.
I will give whoever can help me one million baht.*
You can send these flowers to whomever you like.*

กรรมของบุพบท

I’m looking for where I can buy a ticket.
I’m afraid of what will happen tomorrow.
I want to play with whoever can’t play golf.
Sam is waiting for what he want.
I’m thingking about who can help us.
Jenny is curious about what we are doing?
Lucy is proud of what his son did yesterday.

ส่วนเติมเต็ม จะตามหลัง verb to be หรือ linking verb
